Trust House Terrorists – Heart of the Darklands

This poem that could see me / homeless in the street
For standing up to neo-liberals / crushing poor beneath their feet

They wrap themselves in charity / to cover what they do
Take from the poor, give to the rich / persecute us, not you

Rich and powerful love to build / monuments to their greed
Extravagant sports and arts supporters / and crumbs for those in need

When there’s a housing crisis / they buy a pub or two
Give more to corporate welfare / help fund a giant screw

A hockey turf, a rugby ground / a running track and more
Build a home for businesses / while people knock at their door

Trust House terrorists surround themselves / with the luxuries of life
They’ve never lived for years on end / under the neo-liberal knife

My heart bleeds for the things I see / that nobody will admit
Those that say we should trust / leaders who are not fit

You’ve been radicalised, you’re ignorant / propaganda tells you what to think
While after 30 yrs of this hell / those suffering are on the brink

Disabled poor and abused / cry themselves to sleep
Hoping they will die soon / knowing God their soul will keep

There is no hope in this tragic place / no safety net, not here
Death Valley, Wairarapa / heart of the darklands and of fear

We Are – Carterton, Wairarapa

We’re sick and can’t see a doctor
We’re sad and no help they send
We’re suicidal and wish we were dead
Cause this nightmare never ends

We’re refugees in our own country
We’re drugged when we can’t cope
We’re abused for being traumatised
Neo-liberals leave poor no hope

We’re marginalised and terrorised
We’re blamed for social ills
We’re persecuted and prosecuted
As the morgue and prison fills

Day of Activism in Wellington, New Zealand

Had an interesting day chalking poetry, attending question time, singing under Seddon and catching up with other activist friends.

Got to Wellington about 12.30pm started chalking comments about John Key, so can be seen from Bowen House and Beehive.  Photos up on twitter @jrmurphypoetry  Also called Judiciary corrupt over mental health care and bought up how much more money banks are making in interest since John Key became PM.

Then went and chalked two poems directly outside Supreme Court on Lambton Quay, good writing surface on large paving, different to footpath.  Had around 6 people stop and say how good my poetry was and good to see this sort of culture and art on the street.  Going to write to the council again and complain about them taking it off and that I have to pay for parking when in the city.

Met up with two friends and attended question time, we had to wait because gallery pretty full after Key’s resignation – several school groups.  I sat and watched govt first but got really upset watching John Key lie about the good he had done, especially for vulnerable people.  Had to leave the gallery crying, security staff up there are really nice to me, went over to other side of house so I didn’t have to look at his face and the other National MPs lying.  Especially about housing and health services.

Always need to have a debrief after watching question time, it is so infuriating – or have a sing and rant about how pissed off I am by what I just saw.  Also recited some poetry – Wasps In The Beehive.

There was a 1080 protest at parliament, would have participated but you can’t before you go into the house – its a rule, you’re banned for 24 hours.

Afterwards talked with friends, hoping to get my FILL THE GALLERY idea out into the Wellington community, focused on election year, disabled/students etc – representing all those people struggling and not happy with current policies.  Said how they were representative of people all over New Zealand that couldn’t make it to Parliament – lets send our polticians a message in election year that we’re going to be watching them and demand they represent and protect us as they are supposed to in a civil society.

Came home and uploaded photos to twitter – don’t know why I didn’t do a video – will next time.

Kia kaha and Aroha to us all.

You’ve Driven Me To Swear

You’ve driven me to swear
Driven me and others to despair
You allowed the govt to not care
Torture degrade, create hate and fear

You’ve driven me to hate
Left me writhing at hell’s gate
Told me there I must wait
Want heaven’s door to be my fate

You’ve driven me insane
In your class war fucking game
They do the wrong, I take the blame
Your heads you should hang in shame

You’ve driven me to drink
To numb the pain so I don’t think
About Keys policies that truly stink
And their increasing NAZI link

You’ve driven me to yell
Denied the facts, why I’m not well
Burn here in the fires of hell
Fuelled by corruption of what I tell

You’ve driven me to scream
Give up my lifelong hopes and dreams
I want to die John Key’s so mean
Keep asking where my health care been

Murray Jack GOTCHA!

Murray Jack you piece of crap
Controlling this, controlling that
Me and others know what you do
Advance the rich, degrade the few

Murray Jack you piece of crap
On the board of this and that
Neo-liberalism’s wrong
You harm the weak, protect the strong

Murray Jack you piece of crap
How could you choose this and that
Just another one percentre
Greed and fear’s what you engender

Yesterday went out with some pieces of art which had a swastika on them and placed them at three differently places I thought were violating human rights.  NZ Initiative (aka Business Round Table), IPCA Police Conduct Authority and Ministry of Justice.

Left a poem, videod it on phone and put it on my youtube channel JR Murphy Poet.  This is one I had found in my visual diary, written a couple of months ago after seeing Murray Jack at court hearing about unsafe workplace at WINZ where John Tully shot the two workers.  Know he was part of the inquiry into these killings and ignored me when I spoke to him about how desperate things had become for long term disabled.  He one who suggested all the security guards, which have made things worse.

When I saw him at court case, before I was escorted out by security for wanting to put up a sign about the case.  I told him I was going to get him, told him he was neo-liberal scum and his lot had caused this tragedy.  Gave him a bollocking.

Writing this poem about him and sticking it up at NZ Initiative – where he is a board member – was what I meant.  I couldn’t find out where his office was and I hate this neo-liberal think tank.  I wrote GOTCHA at bottom of poem.  Putting it on youtube is also another GOTCHA (if you are reading this Murray, or any of your neo-liberal mates that created this hell for me and others).

Quite an honour to get a poem written about you – John Millar, Ruth Dyson, Tony Ellis, John Key are the others.

Now I want to meet with you for an hour at least and tell you my story and how I know the government are corrupt and experimenting on mentally injured abuse victims, traumatised and mentally ill – also persecuting many of them and denying them professional health care and rehabilitation.

Come on you coward, front up – contact me through my email, facebook or twitter.  I don’t check comments on my website because of trolls.

Too Hard Basket Case

A poem I wrote this morning – been wanting to use this phrase for a while now – last verse came as I was writing – BOOM!

I’m a too hard basket case
They won’t see me face to face
Send round police bullies to my place
Make our justice system a disgrace

I’m a too hard basket case
What they do to me is cruel
Create this suicide rocket fuel
Evil rich who SHOULD NOT rule

I’m a too hard basket case
They grind my bones to make their bread
Incite the hatred in my head
A disabled soul they want dead

I’m a too hard basket case
Make me beg so I lose face
Leave me rotting with no place
Beat men & women full of grace

I’m a too hard basket case
Break bonds of love by being cruel
Violence addiction they do fuel
Advance rich, poor they rule

I’m a too hard basket case
Fill my life with $1 bread
Oppress suppress what’s in my head
Make jobs for maggots until I’m dead

THERE TOO MANY BASKET CASES
TOO MANY SAD & DEAD FACES
CAUSED BY THOSE IN HIGH PLACES
WHILE PUTTING ON THEIR AIRS & GRACES

Support my fight 4 justice – GiveALittle – Speak Truth to Power

Have managed to get a Give A Little page up and running, cause I need those people who support what I do and how I do it to help fund my activism, poetry, art, challenges to law, etc and take some of the pressures of poverty off my shoulders.

With your help we can change the world for some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our beautiful country and other places.

I have called it a fight for professional health care because I know what people are currently receiving doesn’t even follow health models or a dozen different health, welfare and justice laws (both NZ and United Nations laws).

Kia kaha to all those who understand and live this nightmare.

Kia kaha to all those who understand and don’t know how to stop what is happening.

Kia kaha to all those who don’t really understand, have decent lives but know what’s happening is wrong.

Kia kaha to all those police, justice and political people I talk to who feel powerless and tell me there is nothing they can do, even when they know I am right.

Kia kaha to us all   – Jayne

800 YEARS – a poem to commemorate the Magna Carta 2015

Lots of things wrong with justice and right
The disabled in a never ending fight

If you’ve got money you’ve got justice and calm
It’s greedy rich who created this harm

Haven for them and hell for the poor
Then send police to knock on your door

Meat in the sandwich is what I see
Keeping the peace is what police should be

Take those immoral neo-liberals to court
Keep the peace for what men fought

Build everybody a place to live
Stop fucking taking, now time to give

Collect more taxes from the rich pigs now
Pay off debt then saved interest we plough

Grow our country back to something great
Leave behind this neo-liberal mistake

800 Years since the Magna Carta was signed
Today’s injustices weighing on my mind

Just wrote this – feels good – going to a talk on the Magna Carta on Friday, hope I get to share it, will chalk it on the street if it is fine, taking a few signs as well.

If you like my poetry nominate me for poet laureate before 6 July 2015 – tell your friends – lets see what a poet can do in two years and imagine what the politicians and media are going to do – the looks on their faces would be …… priceless.

Asian Bitch

You stand before me you Asian Bitch
Skin is flawless clothes say rich
Bitch starts barking what I’ve not done
But it’s your screw up number one

Bitch keeps barking though I tell her why
My heart is broken all I can do is cry
Plus my social worker let me down
And my pain is such I can barely go to town

Please go away I don’t want to talk
I’ll find someone help sort this out
She ignores my words keeps up her tirade
An ignorant bitch at full speed

Tries to impress me with her status
A law student darling, fuck not the greatest
And if I could be bothered to tell you
Seven years ago I was studying there too

She said. “Why not you tell bout the new 30 days.”
I say. “I been very sick with no help on the way.”
She kept ignoring my words and finally said
You have 90 days notice take your kids, dog and bed

Please stop this I said you are frightening me bad
I’m shaking like a leaf don’t attack me so hard
Then this little upstart made a serious demand
Show me documents proving your poor health she did rant

Now anyone with half a brain would know
Your landlord has no right demanding you show
Your personal health information, Oh no no no no

How dare you as agent of my fucking landlord
Demand to see documents you have no right to at all
Now get off this property and get off it quick
Next time come to my front door you insensitive bitch

She shrunk like a petal in the hot summer sun
When my legal alter-ego got out it’s big gun

So they’re kicking me out cause I’m no dumb sucker
I know the law, tough shit mother fucker
What a community I live in would treat a person this way
What are they teaching these law students for fuck sake

From all I have read of the lives abused people live
Of victimization it is repeatedly said
You disappoint me my people you are greedy and mean
You are bigots, elitists, you feed of the broken

Take fucking prisoners hide them away
No matter their story or mental health state
And how many of us are being treated this way
Screwed by society in every which way

That’s why state housing was such a good plan
When those traumatised men came back from war broken
It appears those old soldiers have already forgotten
There’s a war going on, on the mean streets of New Zealand

The casualties of which are politely dismissed
Then screwed over by arseholes like that Asian Bitch
It is all out there to see, the facts are the facts
But the media ignore it and you expect others to act.

God of National – song based on the NZ National Anthem

God of national at thy feet
In the bonds of fear we meet
Hear our voices we entreat
We must defend our free land

Guard our country’s loving state
From those who only want to take
Care for all show no-one hate
God defend New Zealand

All who sing this song are bound
A solumn oath to stand their ground
When there is injustice found
We must defend our free land

From dissension, envy, hate
And corruption guard our state
Make our country good and great
God defend New Zealand

Peace not war shall be our boast
But should those cruel asail our coast
Make us then a mighty host
We must defend our free land

Lord of battles in thy might
Give us strength, take up the fight
When our cause is just and right
God defend New Zealand

Let our love for all increase
Our quest for fairness never cease
Give all plenty, give all peace
We must defend our free land

From dishonour and from shame
Guard our country’s good deeds and name
Be guided by an eternal flame
God defend New Zealand

Never let democracy fall
Teach compassion, love and truth to all
Let the facts, not fear stand tall
God defend New Zealand
